Is global warming an issue?

Growing up as a young girl, my idea on global warming was jaw-droppingly dumb. The term "global warming" as a word per se sounds soothing but on the contrary it's a long way from being in conformity with reality. Which is why there is a need to discuss this topic; having said that, here is a brief definition of global warming..

What is global warming?
Global warming refers to the continuous rise of the average temperature on our planet; this process makes the earth warmer. Several assumptions has been made about the actual cause(s) of global warming, one of it is that humans contribute majorly in increasing the earth's temperature. So is global warming an issue?

Below are few points served in support of global warming.
• The common advantage of global warming is that it is bound to make very cold areas on the planet more conducive and pleasant to live in.
• Global warming will also make provision to grow more food that would satisfy the expanding population.
• What's more important than putting a stop to the occurrences of natural disasters happening around the world? This is another benefit global warming brings to the table.

Unfortunately, there are more stumbling blocks to global warming than expected.
• Global warming will lead to loss of wildlife due to loss of natural element.
• The more the planet gets hot, it would result to making the soil infertile which will in turn lead to shortage of food.
• There will be low rainfall which will lead to a very dry spell and create more deserts.
• It'll eventually lead us to buying oxygen which will in turn be favourable to plants as there'll be more of CO2.

In conclusion, global warming may introduce juicy and favourable changes but it could be overrided by the problems accompanying it.
