Has technology made humans lazy?

Going back in time to the days when technology wasn't in existence. The days when shadows were used to tell time, calculations were made with stones, messages were conveyed by town criers or by walking distances to deliver the message to the receiver. Also the days when we have to go the bus station or airport to book a ticket, go to business centers to make calls, recharge our line and pay subscriptions, the days when we must compulsory go to the bank to make any transaction.

Coming back to our present generation, the introduction of technology has blown those days sky high and is obviously changing the world for the best reasons. But the question is; has technology made humans lazy?

Below are few facts to prove that technology has successfully made humans lazy.
• With the number of task apps which includes the likes of Taskrabbit responsible for running errands; it is an evident proof that technology has definitely made us lazy.

• As a student or book lover it's no longer necessary to visit the library to study/read books because of the recent innovation of E-books and E-learning which has taken over, with devices like these there is inhibition of proper and detailed reading of books.

• Social media has simplified life to the extent that one can easily check up on a sick relation without going to see them facially and this reduces spending quality time with our loved ones and friends.

• With services like quora and twitter, quick response to information needed can be gotten without stress. It's no surprise at all that many reporters and journalist are utilizing these platforms to gather information.

• Another vital reason technology has made us lazy is the fact that one can easily shop from home without going to stores. This is possible due to the provision of online shops like Konga, Jumia, Amazon, and so no.

Rebutting against the above listed on how technology has made humans lazy, here are also profound points to oppose the theme:

Technology is the future, with only one main aim which is to make life easier. and with it, we're able to cope with our present world and its hardship.
• Take for instance, the invention of GPS has made going to places you barely know easier. Why look for a map to plot out your trip? Even a map should be considered too as making us lazy because the main deal is going about asking people for location and not using either a map or GPS. Does that make us lazy or smart?

• Technology aids proximity in all aspect of life from our personal life to social, economical, political and so forth.

• Besides technology didn't invent itself, it was initiated by technologist, therefore technology is hardwork.

Basically, what should be put into consideration is how technology is being implemented, either ways furtherance is its sole mission.
